The "tide is turning" according to Hillary Clinton in her post-Pennsylvania Primary speech where she won the Democratic Presidential Primary race against Senator Barack Obama by what many call a significant margin. And it was significant. Her win by approximately 10 points was more than enough to convince many that she is still in the race and should not be discounted. It was certainly enough to silence (but not switch teams) even more superdelegates from proclaiming that they would back Obama in the 'final count'. And it should be more than enough to convince you members of Gobama to DO MORE as a supporter of Obama or prompt you to put tape over your mouth until he seals the deal.
Clinton is doing nothing less than what anyone else in her position would do. She is doing her part as a fierce competitor in a race where she is convinced she is the best person for the job. She hasn't given up on our country or lost her faith that she could still win this. While I hear many bicker and complain about how she should just "give up" and throw in the towel, I really must ask the question, WHY? When you run track, do you give up in the race when you are losing? NO! You keep running. If you are down in basketball, you don't just sit on the bench and mope, you keep playing. So in her mind, she can still get this and until she gets a huge slap-in-the-face loss, the Hil Show must go on.

The problem is that Clinton has already lost. There is virtually no way for her to win the pledged delegate count at this point. Even though she managed to win Pennsylvania by 10 points she actually fell farther behind. For Clinton to have made up the delegate count, starting in Pennsylvania, she would have had to win each of the remaining primaries by 28%. Failing to do that in Pennsylvania (the state that gave her the best chance to do so) means that she has to win the rest of the primaries by increasingly large margins, which won't happen, especially since she will most likely lose the ground she gained in Pennsylvania after the North Carolina primary. No disrespect to Hillary or her supporters, but she needs to stop. This is not track, her continued presence has real consequences beyond whether or not she gets the nomination. The Democrats are poised to take back the White House as well as pick up advantages in the House and Senate, but that may not happen because Hillary can't see the writing on the wall. This campaign is over, she lost. Her constant attacks on Obama only serve to help John McCain. All the wishful thinking in the world can't change reality.
