On Tuesday, ZAZZLE partnered with Keds to launch the first ever print-on-demand (POD) custom shoes. ZAZZLE's patent-pending technology, not only allows you to choose from an array of colors for each piece of the shoe (down to the stitch/thread color) and add your own text (like RbkCustom and NIKEiD), but you can also add your own images. ZAZZLE is the first to allow a user to upload their own content onto a shoe.
The shoes come in 3 women styles (slip-ons, mini slip-ons, and lace-ups) and 2 kids styles (slip-ons and lace-ups). The release of shoes gives designers a new canvas on which to design and ZAZZLE's community of designers have accepted the challenge, making some amazingly cool designs:
Intrigued yet? Check out the rest of ZAZZLE's Keds Shoes. I also created a gallery called Cool Kicks. There isn't much there yet, but hopefully it'll expand soon enough.

Any idea what is patent pending on this? Is it the web technology? Is it the printing on the shoes?
